Hokkien Mee at Paramount Garden

Last night after leaving hubby's durian stall, we went looking for food to eat. Wanted to have the Chee cheong fun in SS2 but it was not opened. So we settled for Hokkien Mee. Went to Paramount Garden for the 'famous hokkien mee'. I have tried the noodles there before and it was quite yummy.

Wanted to order the Hokkien Mee but they were sold out. Kuey Teow was also sold out. If you are wondering, we were at the stall around 12.30am. We settled for Hokkien Mee Hoon and Cantonese Yee Mee. Food came, hubby and I dug in immediately. Oh.... I was dissapointed. The mee hoon was oily and salty. I was complaining to hubby the whole time. We did not even finish the noodles. Paid and left.

As we went in to the car, we saw a foreigner cooking the noodles. No wonder, my food tasted ...........

Sushi Zamai, Sunway Pyramid

Went to Sunway Pyramid with my kids on Sunday. I wanted to buy a DS Lite for my daughter who will be celebrating her birthday this week.

Before scouting for the DS Lite I brought them to Sushi Zanmai for lunch. Had to ask the Information counter where Sushi Zanmai was located. hehehe

Durian

One night a family from Sarawak came to hubby's stall for durians. They brought along with them two containers which they put on the table. Being the curious person I was, I was staring at the containers. The son saw me looking at it and said that it was toasted sago and toasted coconut. They used it to dip their durians and then eat. The son then opened te container and asked me to try the sago. I tried it and I must say that it is very fragrant. However, I did not try dipping the durian in it. But I can see the family enjoying it so much. Must try it next time if I have the chance.

Brought my kids to Teapot Cafe for an early dinner one evening. I ordered the kids meal for my kids and a Steak & Mushroom Pie for myself.
