7th Mile Kitchen

Merdeka Day! Time for breakfast. Drove out, looking for food. Hubby kept asking what we felt like having. Nearing Sungai Way, hubby said he felt like having the Curry Chee Cheong Fun from the market. Asked me to go down to see if they were opened. Yup, opened. Bought 3 packets - Big - to go.

Drove around again, and he says why don't we go to the place where I like the 'Sarawak Laksa'. This place used to have a stall at 'Restaurant Megah Good Luck'. They stopped operating there a few months ago and has now opened up their own place called 'Restoran 7th Mile Kitchen'. Its located at Kelana Jaya, Pangsapuri Kelana Sentral.
My Sarawak Laksa

Kids ordered Kolo Mee

Hubby had his Curry Chee Cheong Fun. 2 big packets.

My son tried the curry chee cheong fun and said that he wanted to have it. Had another packet, so he ate it. Had another bowl of kolo mee which he couldn't eat of course. In order not to waste it, I had to eat it, after my big bowl of Sarawak laksa.  Ate 3/4 bowl of it and I could'nt go on. Don't think I ate so much before. Anyway, had a very satisfying breakfast.

My Elephant

Went for lunch at My Elephant to have my all time favourite food - Thai. It is located at Happy Mansion, Sec 17. This restaurant opened quite a few years back and have also undergone some renovations. It was packed today, with people still waiting outside for a seat. Anyway, we were quite early and managed to get a seat. Ordered, as usual my Tom Yam with Brown Rice. Yummyyyyyy. The set lunch comes with a glass of pandan drink. RM11.90

My colleague had Belacan Fried Rice, which was good also. It comes with sliced omellette, kerabu, and chicken pieces (the black looking one). RM9.90

And a plate of Fish Cake to share. RM10.00

Restaurant Pin Xiang, Aman Suria

Brought hubby and the kids to restaurant Pin Xiang at Aman Suria one Saturday. They have not eaten there before but I have. Have been there 3 times with my colleagues. We do enjoy the food there, but its quite a distance from our office, so we seldom frequent the place. Anyway there are a few dishes I like, but since there were only 4 of us, we could not order much.

We had Mixed Eight Treasure Vege

Fresh Sauce Intestines - It has a sourish taste and very appetizing

Pork with yam slices

We also ordered Salted Egg Crabs. No pics as I can't find the image.

Lunch at SS2

Since the kids and I were in SS2 on Sunday, and we were thinking of what to eat and since it was already 2.00+, I brought them to a place which we have not tried before. This shop has been around for a while but I had not tried the food here before. It is called 'Ipoh Sedap'. They have lots of 'Yong tau Foo', soup/dry noodles. Anyway, this is what we ordered. This is called 'Hor Hee' Noodles.
Did not order much as we had a late breakfast and also the kids were wanting to order 'Ochado'- Taiwanese bubble drink.

Hubby decided to go for a drive to Tanjung Sepat. Had breakfast at Hong Kong Tim Sum, Damansara Jaya first. Lots of people there, had to take a number. Anyway, we finally got our seat and ordered our food. Some of the things we ordered.
Stopped at Morib. Was very deserted at the errr, I things its called 'Dataran Morib' or something like that, as all the shops there were closed, except some food stalls inside. Hubby asked if we wanted to eat anything and I said why not, but not here as it was too hot. Mentioned to him that I saw a place opposite and there were quite a number of people there. The place has a temple next to it. I asked the lady what they served there, she says they have 'Nasi Lemak', Noodles and Chicken Rice. Told hubby and the kids and hubby said let's try. All of us had the Nasi Lemak. It was quite simple, just had the usual sambal, half egg, peanuts and ikan bilis. It was not bad. Everyone finished it.
Ordered a plate of sotong. Told them we wanted three sticks only, but the lady say you only pay what you eat, anyway we asked them to take 2 sticks away as not to dirty it.
After that we continued our journey. Reached Tanjung Sepat. Spent about 1 1/2 hour there for the kids to run around and play. On the way back, we stopped for dinner at a Restaurant named 'Batu Laut Seafood Restaurant'. We came here before months back - was not crowded and food was cheap. Well, that was months back, it is now packed full with people and price has increased, but still quite OK not like the one I had in Port Dickson. We ordered 'Mongolian Style Prawns'. It tasted a bit like 'Assam Prawns' but with lots of spices.
Must have 'Crab with salted egg yolk'. Kids ad I enjoyed our crabs.
Vegetables
And finally, 'Hor Chien' - Omelette fried with oyster. I must say the oysters was big, unlike the one in PJ.
The whole bill was about RM85. Wanted the breakdown of the bill, but the cashier walked away and there was a huge crowd there so didn't bother waiting to get the bill.

Lunch at Port Dickson

Went for a drive to Port Dickson today. Traffic was good from PJ all the way until Seremban, where it was quite heavy. Anyway, we finally reached Port Dickson around 12+. Just went around town, then went to look for lunch. Went to a place called 'Weng Yin Seafood Village'. Ordered 'Kam Heong Bamboo Clams'- RM14
Vegetables - RM7
'Tau Tai' Fish - RM68
This fish is a must have during Chinese New Year, but since it is not CNY, I did not expect it to cost so much. Lunch inclusive of drinks, chinese tea only cost RM97. Don't you think it is very pricey. Anyway, after that we left and headed back to PJ. Stopped at Seremban. Went to the market to try their beef noodles. Since it was already 3.00pm, lots of stalls were already closed or closing. Saw a stall still opened and went there. We ordered 1 bowl of soup noodle and another one dry.

Lunch at Piccadilly

Sorry for disappearing for such a long time. I’m back now and hope to keep you all updated on food and more food. Was thinking of what to eat for lunch today, and one of my colleague's suggested ‘Piccadilly’. Hmmmm, the only 'Piccadilly' I know use to be in ‘Atria’, Damansara Jaya. It was a disco and they had ‘Tea Dances’ on Saturdays and that was a long time ago. The place closed down yearssss ago. Gosh that made me feel old. Anyway, this ‘Piccadilly’ is a restaurant at Sec 14, Mllennium Square. They have an extensive menu from local to Western, to Indian and so on. Prices are very reasonable and portions are big. This is what I had
Bangkok Pineapple Fried Rice with a piece of fried chicken RM5.90 + Hot Lemon Tea RM2.00.
This is what my colleague ordered - Fish & Chips RM9.90
Spinach Fried Rice comes with a piece of fried chicken also – RM6.50
Fried Nasi Lemak RM6.90. You can have it with curry chicken or fried chicken.
