Bah Kut Teh

Had Bak Kut Teh for dinner on Saturday. It was in Old Town, a restaurant called 'Heng Kee Bak Kut Teh'. We ordered Tow Foo Pok
Chee Chang
and Pai Kuat
I love Chee Chang as the meat is not tough and it has thin layers of fat in between - delicious. 'Yau Char Kwai' is also a must with my Bak Kut Teh. My kids love that too. They love to dip those into their soup and eat it. We went there about 8+ and the 'yau char kwai' was all gone.

Blog

I think I'm not cut out to be a food blogger. Everytime, when I go out for lunch/dinner I always forget to take photos of the food. Either I forget to bring my camera or I forget to take pictures of the food. Only remember when I am halfway eating and that is when the plate is half empty. How to take picture like that har.

Went to Kanna Curry House again today. I blog about the place previously. I remembered to bring my camera this time. Arrived at the restaurant, sat down, ordered the food and waited. Banana leaves were put on the table, vegetables on the banana leaves, rice also and I thought to myself, 'when the dishes arrive its time to take photos'. I am so angry with myself. Dishes arrived, fried fish, fried sotong, fish roe all arrived and I started to attack the food. Photos forgotten 'sob sob'. Only remebered when I was halfway eating, took my camera out, focused on the food, buttttttt it looked so pathetic - half eaten and some of the plates were almost empty. sighhhhhhhhhhh

Warehouse Sale

Went for a warehouse sale today during lunch. It was the Foto Miami warehouse sale at Jln Tandang. My colleague told me about it yesterday that she wanted to buy the thumbdrive which was cheap. Managed to get a car park (illegally, of course, hehehe) and went for the warehouse sale. There were cameras, external hard disk, handphones, memory cards, etc for sale there. Guess what we bought. junk food. Inside the bag were a can of mister potato, big pack of mamee, and a few more packs of some other crisps.

After that I brought my colleague to eat the best burger in town. It is located at sec 14. A couple operates this stall and the park their van outside some houses. Their burger is homemade. I have been having this burger since I was in primary school.

Fong Lye Restaurant - Mid Valley

Yesterday, my friend brought me to Mid Valley for lunch. She brought me to Fong Lye Restaurant at the Gardens. The deco and ambience at the restaurant was great. Food was good too. What we ordered was, Sweet Potato Ball (it was yummy, crispy and not too sweet) but be careful as the filling tends to be hot,
Cheesy Pork Rice the rice was wrapped inside an omelete. Next to it was a deep fried pork and the sauce over the rice was a bit sweet.

Braised Beef Noodle the noodles came with three appetizers. One was a deep fried tofu, the other was fried 'leng ngau' and the third was a croquette which was yummyyyyyy.

Lastly, we shared a Passion Fruit Snow Mountain
delicioussss. The Passion fruit snow mountain was a bit sweet though. Overall, yummy all the way. Price at the place was a bit pricey though. Overall we spend RM61.20 for the both of us.

After lunch we went to Pastis Cafe to buy cakes. Got myself a Boston cheesecake and moist chocolate cake to share with my kids. (as usual I forgot to take photos of it)
My friend bought a couple of chocolates which was ooooooooo delicious.

I'm Back!

Hi ppl. Sorry for the long absence. Hubby’s durian stall is on a break, hence I am able to start ‘blogging’ again. However for those of you who are durian lover’s, don’t fret, durian season will be back, sometime in October or early November. Then, you will be able to come and visit me at the stall again. I will usually be at the stall @ 7.30pm.

Hubby’s durian stall actually closed about 1 week ago. Before that, fruits were already getting less and the quality not so good. So hubby decided it was better to close then to sell poor quality durians. Don’t forget to visit us in November, same place - SS2/61, Playground, near ‘Wai Sik Kai’.

Let me tell you a bit of the many people we see at the durian stall. There were quite a bit of customers from Hong Kong. There was one particular guy who came with his friends and family almost everyday, as he was in KL for only a week. We even had a family of them, packing durians to bring home to Hong Kong, goshhhhh.

Many of my friends helped forward my email out to their friends telling them about hubby's durian stall. To them I say “Thank you very much”. Not forgetting also my many colleagues who supported my by coming to the durian stall. Thanks guys! hehehe, (this sounds like a Grammy Awards night).
