For a colleague's farewell (yup another one is leaving), we had lunch at Damansara Palace Restaurant in Pelangi@Damansara, Kota Damansara. Acutally, I havent' heard about this restaurant before but one of my colleague recommended this place.
This restaurant is located upstairs. The inside of the restaurant is quite spacious
There were 14 pax and we were sitted at a huge round table.
We took two sets. One set was for 4 - 5 pax - RM66.80++, and the other was for 9 - 10pax - RM138.80++. In both the sets we could choose a fish dish and any 3 and 5 dishes respectively.
First came the soup. The soup was very sweet. Not sure what soup it was, but inside were red dates, pork (I love those pork in bak kut teh (chee chang, I think it's called) and some kind of nuts.
We had Roasted Duck in Hong Kong Style. No pictures of the duck as everybody was hungry, everybody started digging in before I could even stop them.
Brinjal and Fish Paste
Special Thousand Island Ribs
Fried Spare Rib in WIne Sauce
Braised Chicken with Shao Xing Wine. This came in a claypot.
Black Pepper Ostrich
Steamed Grass Carp in Taiwan Style
Fish Fillet with Ginger & Spring Onion
Fried Seasonal Vege with Garlic (Kai Lan)
Claypot Tofu
Prawns (this was not in the set, we ordered aditional)
For desserts we had a plate of fruits and water chestnut with egg (this was an additional dish too)
A satisfying lunch for all on a Friday afternoon.

Wan Tan Mee, SS2
Went to SS2 for a very late lunch of ‘Wan Tan Mee’ with my hubby on Saturday. The shop is located near ‘Cheow Yang Restaurant’ side of SS2.
The 'wan tan mee' used to be very very crunchy and delicious, however it’s not so anymore. There used to be an elderly man making the ‘Wan Tan Mee’ but I guess he must be retired, as there was another person taking over his place. But at 3.30pm where else can you get ‘Wan Tan Mee’. Cannot complain lor.
Here is my Chicken Feet Wan Tan Mee, yum yum.

The Ship, Damansara Utama
Went to 'The Ship' Damansara Utama for lunch on Sunday with my parents, kids and of course hubby. I must say the food there was nothing to shout about and the price also …….
My son had Chicken Chop
My daughter, fish and chips
Hubby had Steak. it came drizzled with a sauce over it, but I can’t remember what was the sauce but it was mixed with red wine. According to hubby, nothing great. This dish came as a set and it came with carrot soup, dessert and a drink.
I ordered the Seafood Platter. Fish, prawns, scallops(yummy), crab claw & Squid
My parents had lamp chops. By the time I came back from from the ladies, they were halfway through the lamb chops, hence no photos.
Kids had apple juice, orange juice, 3 ice water and 1 warm water. Oh Ya, I also ordered garlic bread for all of us......delicious. No pics of the garlic bread, as usual, I forgot. Hubby was the one who reminded me about taking pics when the food came.

Sg Klau, Pahang
Went to the orchard at Sg Klau, Pahang with hubby over the weekend, to get durians. We stopped at Bentong to have breakfast first. They have a stall selling ‘chee chap chok’ (pig intestines porridge) which was quite good. I was so looking forward to it. Too bad the shop didn’t open that day, so we opt for the next coffee shop which had a variety of things.
I ordered the pork noodles and hubby ordered the ‘wan tan mee’. Food was very disappointing. I didn’t even finish my noodles, the first bite I had of the pork was ‘smelly’, not fresh. According to hubby his ‘wan tan mee’ was ‘OUT’ also.
After breakfast we left for Sg, Klau. After checking on the durians there, hubby brought me to one of the coffeeshops nearby to eat again. Hehehe. I had curry laksa, which was not too bad – had it the last time I was there also. It came with ‘tow foo pok’ & ‘char siew’. No chicken, like what they usually put in curry laksa.
This is the coffee shop I went to.
After breakfast again, we went to the orchard to get our durians. While I was waiting for hubby to finish checking on the durians, I smelt something funny, it was a kind of sourish smell, doesn’t really smell bad. I was looking around to see where the smell came from, was it ‘cowdung’ or hmmmmmmmmm. Anyway after that hubby told me that there were drying cocoa and the smell was of cocoa. Ohhhhhhhh.

Oriental Pavilion Restaurant
Was at Oriental Pavilion Restaurant for lunch with my colleagues. It was a farewell lunch for one of my colleague. We took the 'Autumn Promotion' which was priced at RM598 ++ for a table of 10 pax.
Lunch was at 12.30pm. Some of us reached there early including me, so as to avoid sitting with the boss. shhhhhhhhh. We had 2 tables and were seated in a room.
These were the two appetizers that were on the table when we arrived.
The set consisted of Peking Duck - yummmyyyy
They sliced the skin off the duck before serving us. This is how it looked when it was served to us.
Braised Shark's Fin Soup in Claypot Thai Style. It looked more like a mini 'Buddha Jump over the wall'. delicious.
Pan-Fried Garoupa Fish with Pomelo Sauce. The sauce for this was sourish and delicious.
Scrambled Egg with Milk & Lobster Meat served in Lettuce. This dish came with a raw egg on top. You have to mix the dish with the egg before eating.
After that you wrap it up with lettuce and eat. I find this dish a bit too 'chai'- 'jelak' - 'bloated' (can't figure out how to say in english). Had to eat it with green chilly and it will taste better.
Braised Ling Zhi Mushroom with Dried Oyster & Dried Seafood in Winter Melon.
Braised Egg Noodles with Duck Meat.Sorry, photo a bit blur.
Double-Boiled Snow Pear with Sea Coconut. This was good as it was not too sweet like what they served in other restaurants.
Thousand layered Sponge Custard. (ma lai koh)
Overall the food was OK. Next time I will try their 'dim sum'.

Seo Gung Korean BBQ - SS2
Had dinner at Seo Gung Korean BBQ in SS2 one night with hubby, kids and a friend. Since we haven't been to a Korean BBQ restaurant before, we asked the waiter to recommend. Our friend was a Muslim, therefore we could not order pork. We took the Beef Set which cost RM150 for a 2 pax
The set included grilled beef ribs with sauce, grilled unfrozen fresh beef ribs, Boiled chicken soup with Ginseng, Rice mix with assorted vegetable is hot stone pot,2 glasses fresh fruit juice and dessert. The set also came with many side dishes, namely, Kimchi, potatoes, vege, fruit salad, etc.
This is how the beef looked like when it came
BBQ Beef
This vege is for you to wrap the beef after it has been BBQ.
The vegetarian rice
The Chicken Ginseng Soup - Yummy
We also ordered a Dak-Bulgogi Ddukbaegi (BBQ chicken in earthenware bowl), which came with a bowl of rice. it is basically the 2nd item from the bottom
We also ordered another plate of beef slices as we were afraid it won't be enought for the 5 of us.
A friend came and joined us later and ordered the Dak-Bulgogi Ddukbaegi.
Overall the Bill came up to RM267.30. Satisfying dinner. A bit pricey though.
