Chakri Palace, KLCC
Last week, when my colleague's told me they went to Chakri Palace for lunch, I knew I had to make a trip there one day.
The day finally came - yesterday. Took the kids to KLCC as I wanted to bring them to Petrosains. Upon reaching there, I saw the crowd queuing up, well that changed my mind pretty quickly. Told the kids I will bring them another day - on a weekday maybe. Off we went in seach of food after that since we had nothing to do. Looked at the directory to see what KLCC had to offer in terms of food. Saw Chakri Palace on the list and knew I had to go there.
With my son grumbling in the background about not eating his type of food, heheeheh, we finally found Chakri Palace. Once there and seated he stopped his grumbling - finally and told me he wanted white rice. That means I had to oder dishes. OK, since there were only me and my 2 kids, I could'nt really order anything spciy, like green curry, etc. Basically, I let him order.
Stir fried Kailan with garlic
Deep Fried squid
Pandan Leave Chicken
Pineapple Fried Rice for my daughter
Clear Tom Yum Soup for me

Lunch at Oriental Pavilion, Jaya 33
Last Friday was the last day for one of my colleague. She has been with the company for at least 12 years.
The boss had a farewell lunch for her at Oriental Pavilion, and of course I was also included. hehehe. We tok the set menu which was RM899++. There were 15 of us in a table so of course the extra food was charged separately.
This is what was in the menu. Started off with
Prawn Salad & Pan-Fried Crab Meat Cake.
Braised Coral Shark's Fin Soup in Claypot Thai Style. Instead of the usual vinegar which you usually put in your shark fin's soup, they had a plate of something green, which was blended chillies and errr fish sauce maybe and.... Anyway, you take a little and I mean a little cause once you mix it in your soup and take a slurp, the after taste will leave a burning sensation in your throat. I totally enjoyed this.
Crispy baby Duck in Money Bag. Oppps I totally forgot to take a snapshot of this.
Ying Yang Pomfret. See how they carved the fish. Cool right
Braised Abalone with Beancurd, Dried Oyster & Black Fungus in Beancurd Skin
BBQ Whole Suckling Pig with Glutinous Rice
Glutinus Rice Dumpling with Black Sesame Paste.
Double-Boiled Snow Pear with White Fungus
By the time we finished, it was about 3pm. Got back to the office by about 3:30pm, as we had a little problem with the parking ticket and had to go all the waydon to the ticket office to sort it out.

Kedai Makanan Laut Kuala Sungai, Kuala Selangor
Took a drive to Kuala Selangor, yesterday. When you are there, what else, must have my crabs. Drove past 'River View' (one of the seafood restaurants located there). Was crowded, and I have also eaten there the few times I have been to Kuala Selangor. So I told hubby I wanted to try a new place. 'Kedai Makanan Laut Kuala Sungai. When we went in, saw there were only three to four tables occupied. Hmmmm, my food should arrive fast. yummmyyyyyy
Steam Fish
Salted Egg Crab
Lala Soup
Kai Lan
Overall, the food was good. So much better than what I had in Port Dickson, the previous week. The only negative point was, they added big onions to the salted egg crab, and the onions masked the taste of the salted egg. Anyway, my daughter and I finished off the whole plate so I guess I shouldn't complain.

D'Tandoor, Damansara Utama
Had dinner at D'Tandoor with hubby and the kids one night. Was a bit bored with outside chinese food as they tend to be too oily, salty, too much ajinomoto until you get real thirsty after the meal and so on. The last time I went to D'Tandoor (Damansara utama, branch) they were occupying two shop lot's, errrr if I'm not mistaken near where Public Bank is now. They are now located behind Public Bank.
While looking at the menu in D'Tandoor, I noticed that they wrote that it was 'Cholestrol Free' (if I remember correctly), etc
My Mango Lassi
Mixed Fruit Lassi
(Clockwise) Nann, Chicken Vindaloo, Aloo Gobi Punjabi (potatoes and caluliflower cooked in spices) and Briyani Rice
Tandoori Chicken, took quite a few before I remember to take a snapshot of it.

Malabar Palace, Plaza Damas
My colleague and I went to Plaza Damas for lunch today. When we reached there we walked all floors figuring out what to eat. We were on ground floor and stopped at 'The Meat Place' or 'Meat Shop' or something like that. Anyway, we were looking at the menu outside and my colleague commented that it was too meaty. Hmmm, told her that it was 'The Meat Shop', what do you expect. hehehehe
Walked further down and we notice this place which serves Indian Food. We both agreed on it and in we went.
They serve Northern Indian foods. Their set lunch is from RM12.90.
I had the Chicken Vindaloo. The chicken is cooked in spicy curry with a tangy taste. That sounds yummylicious. My colleague had the fish curry. I had a taste of the curry and found that it was too 'coconutty' for my liking.
This is the Pappadam.
The appetizer - Fried mushroom and it had chicken bites inside.
Fish Curry and Dhall
Chicken Vindallo and Dhall

Pitstop Once Cafe in Sec 17
My colleague brought us to a new place for lunch in Sec 17. I remember reading about this place somtime back but didn't think much about it.
Anyway, they have quite a variety of food servered there, from local foods to western.
Here is what we ordered. I had the Lamb Chop Set which came with Musroom soup and a drink - Iced Honey peach tea.
Fish Chop Set with Garlic Butter and Hot Honey Peach Tea
Chicken Chop Set with Mushroom Sauce and Iced Pitstop Tea - their speciality
Crunchy Spiced Squid. It tended to be a bit too salty for our liking
Chicken Chop fried rice. We 'ta pau' this for a colleague of mine who went to the gym instead of going to lunch with us.
I must say the price there is quite reasonable compared to the other places. I used to go to SS3 for cheap Western Food but lately their quality has dropped.
Overall, the price for our lunch was RM84.10.

Super Tanker - Damansara Utama
Had lunch with my colleagues on Thursday. We went to Extra Super Tanker in Damansara Kim. I had dinner there with hubby and the kids a long time ago when they were just occupying a shoplot. They have since expanded and now occupies two or was it three shoplots. Anyway, the food there is geat if I remembered well.........and I don't forget good food. heheh. There were two appetizers served.
Acar
Dried Prawns Sambal
Of course we ordered 'Yee Sang'.
Our 'Salmon Yee Sang' with Olive Oil. You can see my colleagues holding their chopsticks getting ready to 'LOU'(After, I had taken the pic)
Yam & Chicken. Eventough it looks very pale in colour, but it is very tasty. The yam was very 'powdery'.
This was the spicy brinjal. If I'm not mistaken it is one of their speciality and it is realllll good.

Papa John's Pizza - Sunway Pyramid
Brought my kids to Sunway Pyramid on Sunday. Wanted to watch a Lion Dance performance. Reaching there, I checked with the information counter what was the evets for that day. So dissapointed, no Lion Dance. They had a Chinese Musical and we managed to catch that. Since the performance was only at 2pm, we had our lunch first. The kids wanted to have Pizza, so we went to Papa John's Pizza. This is what we had.
Super Papa's Pizza
Papa Platter
Mushroom Soup
Garden Salad, Passion Fruit and an Iced Chocolate drink
After lunch, we went to see the Musical performance.

Happy Birthday Everyone
Today is the 7th day of Chinese new Year. Thus, it is everyone's Birthday. I had dinner at Restautant Lucky in Paramount, PJ. Boy, everywhere was crowded. Luckily we managed to get a table for 6 pax.
This is the duck we ordered. I find the duck here tastier than 'Loong Foong' across the street.
We ordered 'Yee Sang' also. My camera was out, waiting for the 'Yee Sang' to arrive. Waited and waited, guess they forgot about the 'Yee Sang'. Our food finally came, minus the 'Yee Sang', camera forgotten...........too hungry. hehehe
